A descent into a volcanic, prehistoric land
For Horned Ball 2020, we venture with Jules Verne to the Center of the Earth, through the Icelandic Snæfellsjökull Volcano into a fantastical land beneath the glaciers.
Here, all horned adventurers encounter prehistoric creatures and ancient flora, ferns and magical, glowing fungi.
As the glacier recedes, our worlds merge…

Jules Verne’s 1864 fable inspired many fantastical explorer works including Edgar Rice Borough’s “Pellucidar” and the more goofy 70’s era TV shows “Land of the Lost” and “H.R. Pufnstuf “… As always, Horned Ball invites all to wear Horns of any ilk, but, to play along with this year’s theme – think retro-prehistoric horned adventuring with an extra helping of kitsch.

Horned Ball #15 is Kostume Kult’s longest running event, a fantastical spring bacchanal where the animals shake off winter slumber with many horns and an urge to dance.
